The DNA of Videung

We cater to the mindful sleeper, driven by the belief that progress arises from reimagining existing ideas creatively. Founded in 2019 in the northern reaches of Sweden, in Skellefteå, where co-founder Patrik Sandhu Wilén recognized his life’s purpose: to furnish humanity with the ultimate sleep experience. Simultaneously, he witnessed the excessive waste plaguing our industry and vowed for change. In our world, no material is discarded prematurely; every element retains its value for as long as possible. Our ethos champions deliberate and intelligent consumption, crafting sustainable offerings for a circular way of life.

Why Videung?

Videung, our name, is derived from the timeless lullaby of “Videung” by Zacharias Topelius in 1869. It embodies the essence of the willow tree—the Videung—awakening from its winter rest, just as the warm rays of the sun nurture the willow. At Videung, we nurture the concept of “Circular Sleep,” inspiring a brighter future where the cycles of nature intertwine with the art of slumber.
